On Saturday, May 9, David, Adrian, Mike and Charles went to the observatory. Mike and David worked on wiring and pier systems inside while Adrian and Charles worked on the railings. On Sunday afternoon David and Charles came back and did some more work. David installed junction boxes and wiring. Charles did more work on the railings. The picture shows the progress at the end of the Sunday afternoon session.
A wee mouse was found nesting in the base of the telescope pier. We named it “Muad’dib” (Frank Herbert fans will understand the name). Another set up house in David’s shop vac, which he’d left in the observatory. Mice evicted.
David and Charles returned Monday morning to finish the installation of pickets on the railings and do some more wiring.
